Click on the link under "Program" on the menu to the left to download the latest version of Ncorr. The download is a .zip file containing .m, .cpp, and .h source files as well as the BSD license. Ncorr requires MATLAB 2009a+ and contains a script that automatically compiles the MEX files before running.

Also on the menu to the left is the manual in .pdf form which includes: installation instructions, in-depth step by step instructions on how to use Ncorr, and suggestions/tips for the overall DIC analysis. I recommend viewing this manual (and also visiting the "DIC Algorithms" page) before using Ncorr. In addition, Bryan Riggs has created a youtube instructional video (embedded below) which contains a comprehensive step-by-step guide to using Ncorr.

Changelog:

  • As of 1/17/2018 the code will be now be maintained through github
  • v1.2.2 (06/13/2017) - Fixed an issue where plots appeared as greyscale in newer versions of MATLAB (R2016b+).  The fix is backwards compatible; if someone would like to maintain their current installation, all that is needed is to replace ncorr_util_colormap.m with the one in this version.

NOTE: Please report any bugs observed during the use of the program to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. I have put much effort into making the program bug free on both Windows and Linux platforms, but I cannot guarantee the nonexistence of bugs. As such, I cannot guarantee the correctness of any of the resulting displacement and strain data obtained from Ncorr. It is covered under the BSD license (included in the program download in the "license.txt" file).
